About the event
From 4th to 8th April 2022, 19 teachers, club leaders and managers from partner organisations were hosted in Berlin (Germany) for the staff training. Berlin is a German hotspot of science and education. Therefore, the training was organised by Solaris (Chemnitz, Germany) partner in collaboration with Associated – Social partnres in Berlin. Our colleagues from Odda vidaregåande skole overviewed content of the programme.
The main aim of the activities was to increase professional skills and knowledge of STEMclubs leaders and improve support system in partner orgnaisations. Therefore, this staff training included variety of activities, selection of visited organisations and included time and space for colleagues to interact among each other and share their know-how. During various visits participants took part in workshops, had a chance to use shortly facilities of student labs and more
Day 1: 4thApril
Arrival of all the colleagues and meeting where main organisational details, various questions were reviewed.
Day 2: 5th April
Visited student lab “physik.begreifen” (touch physics) - Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY, Platanenallee 6, 15738 Zeuthen (https://www.desy.de/school/school_lab/zeuthen_site/index_eng.html)
Visited student lab “dEIn Labor” and official welcome of network GenaU (http://www.dein-labor.tu-berlin.de/).
Later colleagues had opportunity to network among each other.
Day 3: 6th April
On day three, the participants were split into 2 groups and part of the programme was organised in a way that both groups switched and visited all points though separately.

In the afternoon, participants had a chance to connect more with each other and share their experience.
Day 4: 7th April
The last day of the programme, the participants had a great chance in visiting Science Center Spectrum / Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin (https://technikmuseum.berlin/en/). This way colleagues were getting inspiration, ideas for their STEMclubs’ activities.
In the afternoon, participants continued networking and sharing best practices.

All participants departed.
